Length of contract: 2 year
Work hours per week: 40 hours, will have to work at weekends, holidays and on calls
Job responsibilities:
- Diagnose symptoms, physiological disorders and injuries of patients and treat them by the insertion of acupuncture needles or through stimulation techniques such as acupressure, moxibustion, cupping or electrical current;
- Use finger pressure to specific spots on the client's body to promote relaxation and better health and well-being;
- Diagnose the diseases, physiological disorders of the patients with dietary supplements;
- Assess clients by conducting range of motion and muscle tests and propose treatment plans;
- Suggest home care instructions and provide information about techniques for further postural improvement and stretching, strengthening, relaxation and rehabilitative exercises.
Requirements:
1. Completion of 3-4 years of secondary school or 2-3 years of post-secondary education
2. Completion of a program in acupuncture from recognized medical schools
3. Minimum 2 years on-the-job training of Acupuncture, Cupping, Guashi, Tuina, Reflexology and Naturopath
4. Be fluent at English, can speak Cantonese or Mandarin is an asset
