Reporting to the Director, Safety and Health (Potash), the Manager, Safety Systems provides leadership for enhancing, supporting, and sustaining the PotashCorp Safety Leadership Coaching Program, and the PotashCorp Exposure Based Safety Processes. The Manager, Safety Systems will provide corporate expertise on Mine Rescue and Emergency Response, and will conduct or support Potash safety systems audits, assessments, facility safety system development/enhancement, and overall safety and health improvement initiatives. Travel will be required.
The successful candidate will have a related university degree, with 10 years of progressively responsible experience in production and safety processes, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Preference will be given to individuals who have attained the Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation. The incumbent will be self-motivated and organized, with the ability to think outside of the box to creatively solve unique challenges. The position requires strong analytical skills with the ability to extrapolate and interpret data.
The successful candidate may be required to undergo a background check. All safety sensitive positions require a substance test in accordance with PotashCorp policy.
