SUMMER STUDENT GENERAL LABOURERS

JUNE TO SEPTEMBER TERM POSITION

Our General Labourers are responsible for providing general assistance to all areas of manufacturing. This includes to perform various function such as working with plant machinery and power tools, material handling, preventative maintenance and general clean-up.


Your Objective:

    Transport materials, finished products and equipment throughout plant manually or using powered equipment
    Operate various machines and power tools, including grinders, chipping and de-burring equipment
    Receive and follow directions from other personnel regarding assistance with assembly, welding, machine operation and othe general maintenance operations
    Operation of required measuring instruments - tape measure, micrometer
    With guidance from production operators read production drawings where applicable
    Keep work area(s) organized and clean
