Principal duties and responsibilities include:
* Ongoing maintenance/repair of buses
* CVIP Inspections
* Respond to breakdowns
* Spring/Winter maintenance
* Work to meeting budgets and equipment forecasts
* Monitors manpower skill levels to ensure operating requirements and report on performances
* Supervise all maintenance personnel
* Assumes accountability for each employees quality of work and productivity
* Work with the Operations Manager and Director of Maintenance to identify corrective action(s)
* Aware of key cost areas such as warranties, consumption, and inventory levels of parts and supplies
* Schedule sequence of maintenance services and semi-annual inspections on buses to optimize balances between operating requirements, downtime of revenue equipment, and overall shop productivity

Requirements
* Journeyman Ticket (Heavy Duty or Automotive)
* Valid Drivers License, Class 2 or 3 considered an asset
* CVIP  Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program License
* Own hand tools
* Clear criminal record
* Minimum 3 years of related experience
* Exposure to working on diesel engines
* Analytical and trouble-shooting skills
* Computer proficiency
* Experience in maintenance planning and implementing standards and controls
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to build relationships with external suppliers, maintenance shops, and regulatory bodies
