Description

The Mental Health Therapist is responsible for providing counseling and mental health services to the band members of Beardys & Okemasis First Nation.  The services provided will include assessments, counseling, referrals for treatment, treatment planning including aftercare and crisis management as needed.  They will provide community programs to educate and create awareness of mental health services available.  In addition, the Mental Health Therapist will assist with the Mental Health and Addictions curriculum and work closely with the schools.  Weekly case management meetings are required with the Mental Health and Addictions Team.
