Description

The Leasing Officer is an administrative support position and is accountable on a daily basis to the Manager of Lands & Resources, with overall accountability to the Lands & Resources Committee. The Leasing Officer will be responsible for all components of residential, agriculture & grazing leases of Cowesses First Nations Lands. The officer will assist in the development of policies and procedures related to Land Management and other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICAT10NS:
- Must have a Diploma or Certificate  from a recognized Land Management Program
-Must have at least  two (2) years of experience and extensive knowledge in Land Management
- Knowledge of general office procedures
- Superior organizational,negotiation skills; demonstrated written skills and excellent oral communication skills
- Must posses knowledge of financial matters pertaining to Land Management
- Must have the ability to prepare and present written reports to the appropriate agencies; and the ability to interpret and apply reporting requirements of INAC Lands and Trust Department
- Experience in report writing, coordinating projects and providing leadership in a team setting
- Sound working knowledge of Computer Technology and applicable software programs
- Knowledge of First Nation's government structure and previous experience working with First Nations is a definite asset
- Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and work with minimum supervision
- Must have demonstrated commitment to maintain confidentiality
- Must possess a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's License and reliable vehicle
