The Rural Municipality of Ponass Lake No. 367 is accepting applications for the position of Seasonal Maintenance Personnel.  This position is to begin in June 2016.  The applicant must be self-motivated and able to work with little supervision. This position offers a comprehensive benefit package after the applicable probationary period has been completed.   Salary and benefits as set out in The International Union of Operating Engineers, Hoisting & Portable & Stationary, Local 870 Collective Agreement.  Hours of work are as follows: April to November- Monday to Friday 9 hours per day, occasionally required to work extended hours.
The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
?    Mowing, rock picking, shop maintenance
?    hauling, cleaning and inspecting culverts
?    reporting and flagging any unsafe or dangerous road conditions
?    performance of all daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment
?    general care and maintenance of equipment and reporting any necessary major repairs
?    keeping work area clean and safe

The preferred candidate should possess the following qualifications:
?    Minimally a valid Class 5 driver?s license and clean driver?s abstract
?    Strong communication skills
?    Must be able to work independently and within a team
?    Experience operating equipment would be an asset
