Description

Duties and responsibilities:
-    Drive bus, pick up and drop off of passengers.
-    Assist Clients with wheelchairs on and off the bus
-    Use lift devices and safety restraint systems for customers with mobility limitations
-    Inspect bus each morning to ensure safety and mechanical soundness; reporting irregularities to the proper supervisor and the following driver.
-    Collects fares or punch tickets as required.
-    Required to exit and enter the bus multiple times in a shift while assisting customers
-    Physically demanding, bending and climbing stairs
-    Prepares daily trip sheet reports and reconciles cash.
-    Prepares bus for next day by refueling, and cleaning as needed.
-    Performs public relations with passengers daily, to provide courteous service.

Qualifications:
Education:
-    Prior to grade twelve
-    Valid Class 4A drivers license
-    Clear drivers abstract
Experience:
-    Previous experience driving large vehicles - 1 year
-    Previous knowledge of transit processes
Skills:
-    Thorough knowledge of city streets and layout
-    Defensive driving skills
-    Must be able to perform medium physical duties for up to 10 hours
-    Basic cash and reporting skills
-    General mechanical aptitude/knowledge
