Description

The Development Officer - Major Gifts assumes a key role in assisting the Regional Vice President and Director of Development in the coordination and delivery of fundraising activities to further the mission of The Nature Conservancy of Canada and to maximize revenues for its programs and operations in the Saskatchewan Region.

The Development Officer  Major Gifts will play a key role in coordinating the development and implementation of the Saskatchewan Region'ss strategic plan to increase revenues from individuals, foundations and corporations. The Officer will work in support of and with the Regional Vice President on identifying and stewarding major donors. This position will works as part of the Saskatchewan region senior team and in cooperation with the national Philanthropy & Marketing team to ensure consistency and coordination. This position will also work with key volunteers and Board members as appropriate. The incumbent will mentor other staff in the fulfillment of donor solicitation and recognition initiatives.

The Development Officer, Major Gifts reports directly to the Director of Development and supports the fundraising work of the Saskatchewan Regional Vice President. This position will require some time to be spent in Saskatoon.
