Roles & Responsibilities:
- Actively participating in and promoting a safe work culture;
- Assist in the development of construction methodologies and safe work procedures;
- Assist in the preparation of documents and cost estimates required for tender and proposal submissions;
- Overseeing quality control on individual projects;
- Working with Site Superintendents on technical aspects;
- Coordinating subcontractors under the direction of Project Engineer;
- Monitoring and reporting on construction work schedules, including progress, delays, and damages;
- Measuring and/or confirming contract quantities for payment; and
- Onsite surveying using Trimble GPS equipment.

Skills and Abilities

Essential Skills
- Ability to apply technical knowledge in resolving construction problems;
- Able to work effectively in a team environment or independently in the absence of supervision;
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively rely instructions, and;
- Good organization and communication skills.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering;
- Previous Construction Experience;
- Ability to use Microsoft Office programs proficiently, and;
- Any knowledge and/or practical experience with AutoCAD or Trimble Business Center is an asset;
- Previous survey experience is considered an asset;
- Valid driver's license;
- Willingness to travel and work overtime when required, typical work days are to 10 to 12 hours; and
- Must pass a drug and alcohol test upon employment and if required throughout the duration of employment.
