Description

POSITION PURPOSE:  

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing manufacturing and warehousing in our Saskatoon processing facility.  The Supervisor will be responsible for improving operational capabilities through strategic planning and leveraging best practices.  The responsibility for this position includes:

    Safety  Ensure manufacturing and warehouse safety standards/processes are maintained to improve IFR (Injury Frequency Rate/OSHA rate) targets
    People Leadership  Develop bench strength in operations leadership through effective recruitment, development and retention/engagement of employees
    Quality  Establish and maintain world class standards for food safety regarding storage and handling within the manufacturing and warehouse facility. Administer internal food safety audit processes and corresponding action plans for deficiencies identified
    Service  Support sales team by ensuring acceptable in-stock conditions are met, and that schedules and manufacturing and warehouse performance supports acceptable on-time performance to customers
    Cost/Value Efficiencies  Achieve the best net landed cost by continuously driving reductions in cost per case.  Work diligently to support the financial success of the operations quarterly operating budget
    Continuous Improvement  Cultivate a culture that focuses on continuous improvement through innovation, technology, and process control
    Business Partner Collaboration  Optimize distribution efficiency through execution with key vendors, customers, and internal business units
