The Lodge is seeking a responsible, mature and well organized individual who is responsible for the provision of nutritious and healthy meals and snacks for between 15-20 staff/youth on Fridays, Saturday, and Sunday.Under the direction of the Administrative Supervisor, this position will work 8 hour day shift on a casual basis which may include a 3-4 hour shift on Saturday and Sunday mornings to cook brunch, however, there may be times when extra hours or flexibility in hours are required depending on need.
General duties include:
- Cooking and baking
- Prepare and serve brunch on Saturday and Sunday mornings
- Menu planning skills and monitoring inventory.
- Ensures all areas in the kitchen and dining area is cleaned and sanitized.
- General maintenance of kitchen equipment
Applicants must have:
- Valid Safe Food Handling Certificate
- Knowledge & experience of the Canada's Food Guide
- Experience working in a commercial kitchen setting
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- An interest and ability to work with youth (patience)
- Addiction free lifestyles
- A sincere interest in supporting First Nations Culture
- Valid Saskatchewan Driver's License
- Acceptable CPIC and Child Abuse Registry Check
- Must be able to lift 10-25 lbs - groceries/supplies
