Lac La Ronge Indian Band Public Works & Housing Department is now accepting applications for the following position:
FINANCIAL ASSISTANT
The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:
- Transaction processing for accounts payable and receivables
- Perform month end and year end accounting cycles
- Preparation of cheques, purchase orders and travel claims
- Prepare, verify and process invoices and coding documents
- Maintain a filing system for all financial documents
- Other administrative and financial duties as assigned
The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Minimum Grade 12 and/or certificate in Office Education, Accounting or Business Administration
- A combination of education and experience will be considered
- Must have a valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook)
- Proven knowledge and ability using ACCPAC is an asset
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be willing to take direction and maintain confidentiality
- Strong work ethic, punctual and reliable
- Ability to work in a demanding environment using a team approach
