The Department of Political Studies at the University of Saskatchewan invites applications for a one year, limited term appointment to teach in the area of Global Politics, starting July 1, 2016. The appointment will be at the rank of Lecturer (floor salary of 77,613). This position comes with a comprehensive benefits package which includes pension plan, life insurance (compulsory and voluntary), sick leave, travel insurance, death benefit, dental plan, extended health and vision care plan, employee assistance program and flexible health and wellness spending program.
Candidates must have a completed doctoral degree in Political Science and a record of demonstrated excellence in teaching, with a research and teaching specialization in the area of global governance and international politics.
We are seeking a collaborative-minded teacher-scholar who is building a reputation for excellence in the area of Global Politics and who can contribute to the departments broad thematic area of Governance in a Global Era. The Lecturers assignment of duties will include both the teaching of undergraduate courses, with a mix of online and campus teaching, and working with the Head and the Undergraduate Chair on the strategic promotion of the departments Global Studies certificate program.
