As the Security Administrator, you will develop and monitor the use of information systems security and control procedures. You will perform periodic risk assessments to identify and/or remediate security vulnerabilities and threats, as well as assist in the development, implementation and enforcement of security policies, procedures and standards. You will perform periodic audits and create reports from a central log server. You will also administer access to the companys computer systems for employees and contractors. You will educate users in security awareness including password maintenance, system abuse, incident reporting and virus protection. You will work with internal and external auditors to provide them with required IT information. You will also administer the IT change management process by monitoring, investigating and approving changes. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to other ITS staff, internal business units and external employers, injured workers and healthcare providers in Saskatchewan.
Qualifications:
Two years post-secondary education with classes in computer science and four years experience in an IT environment, including two years successful security administrator experience or training demonstrating the ability to do the following:
- Administer and maintain system security.
- Detection, investigation, remediation and documentation of security breaches, violations and incidents.
- Maintains, manages and implements the security policy.
- Facilitate the change management process for all systems.
- Capacity planning in a technical environment.
- Understand technology advancements in the areas of security administration and system management.
-Knowledge of ITIL.
- Process and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
- Oral and written communication and customer relation skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
