Description

Reporting to Director of Finance and Operations, the Accounting Manager will oversee the daily accounting functions of the Globe Theatre.  The Accounting Manager will supervise the Accounting Clerk and work closely with all other departments adhering to all accounting policies and procedures.
    
1.Review and supervise accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.  Provide backup when required.
2.Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Sage AccPac Accounting software, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
3.Maintain the General Ledger, review and post all batches and entries to the G/L, creating journal entries as required.
4.Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
5.Assist in the development of the annual budget and input the approved budget into AccPac
6.Liaise with auditors regarding year end requests and timelines; prepare all working papers and reconciliations required.
7.Maintain all bank signing authorities with financial institutions, including on-line tokens, authorities, Visa limits, etc.
8.Assist with the management of the organizations cash flow and investments. Transfer, reinvest and redeem investments as required.
9.Prepare all reporting requirements for compliance purposes; grant final reporting, CADAC and charities return.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be:
Post-secondary education in business or accounting with 3 years accounting experience
Experience with Sage AccPac Accounting Software and Microsoft Excel
Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills and a willingness to learn
Strong leadership and communication skills
A team player who thrives in a creative, collaborative environment
Open to change and new possibilities
