Description

Reporting to the Fall Protection Division Manager, the Fall Protection Outside Sales representative is responsible for generating leads and procuring Purchase Orders from customers.  In addition, the Rep will build customer relations and sales networks and provide knowledge and understanding of height safety requirements.  The Fall Protection Outside Sales representative provides backup and support to the Fall Protection Division Manager from a sales perspective.
Direct sales
-generating sales leads / fielding calls from customers
-build customer relations and secure sales
-establish and continually add to and update a list of potential clients and jobs. This will be accomplished through leads, references, cold calls, etc. and is to serve as a source for future work as well as a contact list
Prepare quotes for clients that outline components and services required
Conduct site assessments in order to identify client needs:
Participate in site meetings for projects in order to get all the requirements as outlined by the architect and/or contractor.
Call Reports
Liaise with Crew Supervisor, Engineering and Fabrication to develop solutions and troubleshoot issues on projects.  
Ensure current knowledge and understanding of products, services available:
Attend trade shows and seminars as a representative of Northern Strands
Keep current with legislation and standards and ensure that others are aware of those changes including customers, vendors and co-workers.
Travel throughout Saskatchewan and into Manitoba and Alberta as required
Following jobs through until such time as they are ready to be scheduled for install
Focus on securing POs
Perform other duties, as required.
