Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:
    Responsible for all aspects of the banquet operation
    The first and main contact for our guests at the inquiry and booking stages of events.
    Creation of accurate and timely Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
    Plan, organize, and co-ordinate all resources needed for events  
    Recruiting, training, mentoring and motivating teams
    Develop business plans for the department inclusive to equipment requests, small wares purchase, and repair and maintenance initiatives in conjunction with the General Manager.
    Grow and further develop working relationships with partners, department heads and stakeholders
    Planning and developing effective work schedules.
    Attending local business and community events  building a network.
    Timely response to concerns, queries or questions from our guests and colleagues
    Financial results-Achieving set sales targets and monitoring cost of sales

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
    Willing and able to be hands on in all areas of the operation
    Excellent interpersonal skills and passion for developing direct reports
    Action orientated with a drive for results
    The ability to maintain composure and decision quality under pressure
    Strong written and oral communication skills
    Strong organizational skills
    The ability to work independently
    Demonstrated progressive supervisory/management experience
    Food Safe/ Serving it Right/ 1st Aid
    Valid driver's license/own transportation
    Legally entitled to work in Canada
