Description

The Water Security Agency (WSA) is a unique organization in Canada - bringing together all of government's core water management responsibilities in one place. We manage the province's water supply, protect water quality, ensure safe drinking water and treatment of wastewater, own and manage 49 dams and related water supply channels, reduce flood and drought damage, protect aquatic habitat and provide information about water.

Reporting to the Director, Business Information and Technology Systems (BITS), an employee in this job will manage, utilizing a project management framework, the Information Management (IM), Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Infrastructure Management and Information Technology (IT) services of BITS to ensure all services are delivered in an effective and efficient manner and are congruent with the BITS strategic and operational plans. In addition, this employee will provide specialist business information and technology systems advice and support corporate wide.

This is a management job requiring the employee to have extensive information systems technical, administrative and supervisory expertise enhanced by additional training in project management.   Problems can be difficult and of varied complexity requiring the application of specific professional discipline practices and principles.

The successful candidate should possess a Degree in Computer Science or similar discipline and 6 years of progressively more responsible directly related experience.
