Brandt is continuing to grow and expand our business and we are looking for hard-working, creative individuals to join our Engineering Team.  We are currently seeking a Platform Team Lead  (Grain Carts) for our Agricultural Products Division.

Platform Leads serve as the business and technical heads of the engineering platforms.  Through the successful management of a group of engineers, technologists and designers, the platform leads will deliver high quality designs within budget and schedule.  This is a leadership position that involves management, design, project planning, estimating; a certain level of customer relations and interfacing with the rest of the company.  A successful candidate will own the engineering and product development of that particular platform.  A truly successful candidate will have expertise in the particular field of the platform.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Create and manage engineering teams for successfully delivering projects to internal customers, i.e. manufacturing or other platforms.
- Develop, mentor and retain high quality design staff.
- Work with customer support and provide technical support for field issues as necessary.
- Identifies areas for improving cost, quality, feature offerings, etc. to business development leads.
- Identify and mitigate technical and business risk related to the engineering design of products.
- Develop design concepts and directions for project teams that will create long-term profitability of the platform.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Professional Engineer or Technologist with 5+ years experience
- Extensive experience in relevant design and design tools like CAD
- Excellent communication skills  written and verbal
- Extensive product/project knowledge in the platform area
