Are you our next Team Member?

We are currently seeking a Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic at our Colonsay, SK location. The successful candidate will inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust and maintain plant mechanical equipment.

What will you be working on?
* Scheduled and emergency repairs, installation and inspection work to be done. Interpreting drawings and sketches.
* Inspecting plant equipment for defects, such as misalignment, wear, insufficient lubrication, etc.
* Determining the best way of making repairs to minimize interruption of production.
* Advising when immediate shutdown of equipment is necessary to minimize damage or when temporarily continued operation will have no harmful effect.
* Dismantle, clean, repair, replace, install, maintain, assemble and lubricate mechanical equipment. Adjust and calibrate equipment for proper operating characteristics.
* Make either temporary or permanent repairs.
* Assemble and align gears, bearings and shafts, involving the application of press, and running fits.
* Operate simple machine tools such as drill press, pipe-threading machine, power saw, etc.
* Babbit and scrape bearings as required.
* Erect scaffolds and perform rigging as necessary.
* Change, set up and adjust equipment as required by current operating conditions.

What is required for this role?
* A recognized, valid, Journeyman Industrial Mechanic's Certificate.
* Full knowledge of the safe utilization and care of power and hand tools.
* Full knowledge of cutting and welding practices.
* The ability to discern the state of mechanical condition of machines and equipment and take appropriate action.
