General Job Description

The materials handler will organize and categorize incoming & expedites nonfood reclamation competently for the Regina Food Bank.
Essential Functions:
    Must be trustworthy individual;
    Must operate forklift or pass accredited course;
    Maintain established processes;
    Work with other agencies for redistribution of nonfood at point of order pickup;
    Report hours spent sorting and packing donated items for distribution;
    Report weights of all items distributed;
    Establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, subordinates, contractors and vendors;
    Understand policies and procedures; make rational decisions/recommendations in accordance with established policy;
    Work in a safe manner and report unsafe activities and conditions;
    Foster teamwork and actively participate on teams;
    Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external customers;
    Other duties and responsibilities will be performed as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Attend and/or present at relevant trade shows, fairs and organizations;
Oversee volunteer compliance with policies and procedures;
Maintains a daily schedule and a clean work environment;
Communicate with Warehouse Supervisor on moving reclamation to and from working area; and
Other duties as assigned to help advance the business of the Regina Food Bank as directed by the Reclamation Coordinator or Director of Operations.

This position is funded through the Student Summer Works Program.  Priority will be given to Aboriginal students and students with disabilities.  Applicants must be returning to school in the fall.
