The Manager, Security Architecture performs two core functions for WCB. The first is overseeing the operations of WCBs security solutions through management of the organizations security resources. The second is establishing the WCB security stance through policy, architecture and training processes. Secondary tasks will include the selection of appropriate security solutions, and oversight of any vulnerability audits and assessments. The Security Manager is expected to interface with peers and staff in the Technical Services (systems and network) group as well as with the leaders of the business units to both share the corporate security vision with those individuals and to solicit their involvement in achieving higher levels of enterprise security through information sharing and co-operation. This position requires a customer service orientation and strong communication skills.
As a preferred candidate, you will have a University Degree or Masters in Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical discipline from an accredited University. Your education will be supplemented by a minimum of 10 years experience with combined IT and security work experience with a broad exposure to database management, information security practices, technologies, and their related support processes infrastructure/network and multi-platform environments and high exposure end-user situations. You will also have a minimum of 2 years in a specific security role (Security Architect, Security Manager) for a similar sized organization.
