HTC Group of Companies are now seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Head of Accounting and Financial Reporting for our ambitious and expanding group of companies.
Requirement/Qualifications:
- Designation in professional accounting (CA,CMA,CGA) or working towards a designation.
- Five year related accounting experience working in a corporate environment.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, corporate reporting requirements and accounting processes including work with consolidated spreadsheets.
- Above average problem solving, planning and organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of MS Office and Excel.
- Dependable self-starter with the ability to take initiative to do what it takes to get the job done.

The following would be an asset but not required:
-Extensive experience with Simply Accounting.
-Experience with oil and gas accounting.
-Experience with public company accounting.
-Experience with corporate tax preparation.

Responsibilities & Duties:
-Preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFSR) for two publicly traded companies.
-Responsible fore verifying financial information and maintaining accounting records.
-Responsible for satisfying year-end audit requirements prior to preparation of annual reports.
-Monthly reporting to financial institutions.
-Capital asset accounting as required.
