Accountable for the management and implementation of communications strategies and activities to support corporate initiatives. Accountable for media relations activities, including publicity planning to ensure the portrayal of SaskTel in the provincial, national and international media is accurate and enhances the public profile of SaskTel.
QUALIFICATIONS:
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Post secondary degree or diploma in English, Journalism or Communications, and a minimum five years media or business communications experience.
2. Extensive working experience in Issues Management, Media Relations, and Government Relations.
3. Business and technical knowledge of the telecommunications industry is an asset.
Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication.
4. Active commitment to personal development including training outside the organization is essential.
5. Must have the demonstrated desire to promote directly and indirectly SaskTel's image inside and outside the corporation.
6. Experience with producing a variety of communication media, including print, electronic, audio/visual and face-to-face, to deliver business results.
