Description

SPECIFIC TASKS:
-Promotion of program using available community resources
-Recruitment and screening of specified number of participants for enrollment
-Recruit volunteer facilitators
-Use case management model to provide early intervention supports with due consideration for unique situations to the clients
-Delivering quality experience in a safe and fun environment for all program participants
-Supervision of summer program participants
-Responsible for developing, implementing and delivery of scheduled programming
-Act as main liaison with parents of summer program participants
-Responsible for actively gathering feedback from program participants
-Prepare and complete required paperwork, i.e. attendance sheets, participant information forms etc.
-Provide written reports to Summer Program Team Lead as required
-Maintains equipment and supplies needed to run program in an organized fashion
-Maintains and works within the required approved budget as set out by Summer Program Team Lead
-Provides mentorship and assistance to Program Assistant
-Ensures that programs and services meet and/or exceed organizational and funder requirements
-Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
-Excellent communication (oral & writing), MS Office, customer service, leadership, and problem solving skills
-Ability to work independently, within a team and multi-task
-Ability to organize and manage outdoor activities: games, sports, field trips within and outside the city
-Program & event planning, development, organization and implementation skills
-Camp experience is an asset
-Positive attitude, enthusiastic, upbeat personality with male/female youth
-Knowledge of issues in the immigrant community
-First Aid/CPR certificates
-Valid Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Search
-Arabic Language Ability is an Asset
-Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle is an asset
