Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the CCS Program Manager supports the administrative duties for the regional delivery of the Community Capacity Support Program.
WORK CONDITIONS
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Drivers license and occasional travel required
Clean Criminal Record Check (CPIC) required
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Post-secondary education in administration/business or other field deemed relevant
Experience with not-for-profits and program administration preferred
Experience using Microsoft office programs required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensuring funded agencies are in adherence to the terms of the contribution agreements.
Working with the national CCS Program technicians to draft CCS program documents and processes, which may involve out of province travel.
Assisting the regional CCS review committee by: being a support person for any questions, acting as liaison between the Committee and the AFCS Executive Board, minute taking of committee meetings, coordinating meeting arrangements internally and communicate such to all committee members, providing all meeting materials in advance of each meeting.
Working and assisting Friendship Centres and other urban Aboriginal organizations through the proposal process as well as answering inquiries about the CCS Program from the general public.
Doing site visits and organization assessments with urban Aboriginal organizations and Friendship Centres, and providing feedback in areas of strength and weakness.
Providing training to the member Friendship Centres in the areas of finance, governance, and other relevant areas as identified by the site visits.
Facilitating effective and efficient communications from the grassroots level to the national level and vice versa.
Creating good governance and training templates for the Friendship Centres.
