Facility: MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES
Job Description: Reporting to the Director of Mental Health and Addiction Services the incumbent is responsible for the day-to-day client service delivery (development, implementation, delivery and evaluation) of the Community Mental Health Nursing Program for Kelsey Trail Health Region.
Required Qualifications

Registered Psychiatric Nurse (Bachelor degree preferred).
Experience
Two (2) years experience relevant to the required work as determined by the employer.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
      
1.Sound knowledge and experience of issues of best practise pertaining to the Rehabilitation Program.

2. Ability to accurately assess mental health and mental health related issues and make appropriate recovery plans and referrals.

3.Individual, group and crisis management/stabilization counselling skills.

4.Ability to promote healthy lifestyles in urban or rural settings and with diverse populations.

5.Excellent oral / written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.

6.Valid drivers license.

7.Knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Mentally Disordered Persons Act, DSM IV and The Family Services Act, Mental Health Approved Home Policy and Regulations, Social Assistance Program Regulations, Regional Health Policies, SPNA/SRNA Code of Professional Ethics, Rehabilitation Program guidelines.

This is a Field Hours position.

Hours of Work: In a 6 week rotation: 28 shifts of 8.00 hours
