Summer Student JobThe Town of Carrot River is currently seeking an individual to fill a seasonal full time position within its Public Works Department Summer Public Works Labourer.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
Operation and maintenance of municipal equipment and infrastructure
Physical labour including safe climbing below ground and above ground
Essential Skills
- Oral communication
- Working with others
- Problem solving
- Critical thinking
- Job task planning and organizing
- Finding information
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
- Driver's licence
Specific Skills
- Operate various equipment and machinery
- Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment
- Clean and maintain sidewalks, streets, roads and public grounds
- Assist in routine maintenance and repair of equipment
- Assist equipment operators to secure attachments to equipment or truck
Work Setting
- Municipal government
Weight Handling
- Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
