The Department has teaching needs in the areas of: the history of education (survey), early and high medieval European History and the Crusades and the Aftermath. Requirements for the position include: A completed or near-completed Ph.D. (at time of appointment) in early or high medieval history, demonstrated proficiency in Latin and evidence of experience and effectiveness in teaching at the university level. Candidates will be expected to engage with all levels of students enrolled in the Classical, Medieval and Renaissance Studies program and present at one of the programs monthly colloquia. In addition, the ideal candidate will demonstrate an understanding of the Catholic intellectual tradition.
The appointment will be made at the rank of Lecturer or Instructor depending on the successful candidates qualifications.
