Under the direct supervision of the Chief, with overall accountability to the Council, the Human Resource Manager is responsible for the human resource service delivery processes of the First Nation, the review, amendment, development and implementation of human resource policies and procedures. General duties include: Day to day supervision of human resources in accordance with established policies, contribution agreements, professional standards including Canada Labour Code, Human Rights and Provincial Employment Standards, Advises and makes recommendations on human resources issues, trends and direction on selection, development, implementation and management of human esource plans and strategies, including a 5 year resource plan, reviews changes with the federal provincial government of applicable legislation and regulation and makes necessary changes to update internal human resource policies and procedures applicable to First Nations, over sees the recruitment and selection of qualified individuals for the Pasqua First Nation. Presents qualified candidates to manager and selection committee, administers and negotiates employee compensation and benefits, investigates, mediates and advises on employee grievance matter, core fields are: classification, staffing, employee relation, policy development, human resource planning, harassment, organization development, employee counselling, conflict of interest, competency profiling, conflict resolution, training and development. Qualifications: knowledge and commitment to the philosophy, goals and objectives of the Pasqua First Nation, Degree in Administration or Diploma in Human Resource Management, Must possess a valid Driver's License.
