Human Resource Assistant

Salary:    $47,442 to $59,011 (annual) depending on experience and qualifications and includes an excellent benefits package

Start Date:     May 9, 2016

Responsibilities:      
The HR Assistant provides administrative support to the Superintendent of Human Resources; exercises good judgment, initiative, accuracy, speed and knowledge, organizational and problem-solving skills; recruiting; timekeeping & entitlements and provides other administrative support as required.  

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have:
- Grade 12 or equivalent and relevant training certificate/diploma; office equipment and procedures knowledge
- 2-3 years related experience in a human resource department;
- Human Resource experience and/or education is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated experience in providing excellent service with an emphasis on confidentiality.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Outlook & Excel).
- Demonstrated ability to work under minimum supervision and as an effective team member in an environment that is constantly changing.
- Ability to pay attention to detail and maintain accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, conflict management and problem solving skills.
