Job Description: Reporting to the Regional Manager  Employee/Labour Relations & Scheduling, the Human Resources Consultant - Recruitment and Retention is accountable for the development & provision of effective recruitment and retention programs and management practices to ensure appropriate and efficient utilization of human resources. This includes developing and implementing strategies to ensure a sustainable workforce, assisting managers in the creation of quality work environments to attract new recruits and retain existing staff and is accountable for the successful application of the staffing process. The incumbent will also be responsible for the development of an overall Human Resource Strategy for the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region that is in line with the Health Regions mission, vision and values.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor degree with human resources focus and two to five years experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with many individuals and groups including staff, students, unions and the general public
Ability to analyze complex situations and environments and produce workable and practical solutions
Demonstrated excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills
Ability to work within time-pressured and intense human relations environment
Familiar with job evaluation, staffing and compensation practices in a unionized work environment

37.5 hours in a 1 week rotation. Shifts (days, evenings, nights) including actual hours, date of commencement and temporary end dates are for informational purpose only and may be subject to change.
