An opportunity exists to engage in a diverse and rewarding Rural Family Medicine Practice in the town of Moosomin, Saskatchewan. This physician will join 2 other physicians to work within an interdisciplinary team environment to provide primary health care services to the community of Moosomin. This new physician will also work collaboratively with other physicians in the community to support the acute care and emergency services for the area. The opportunity offers a newly established practice, good group support, and a new hospital - all in a thriving, expanding rural community (one of the fastest growing economies in Saskatchewan!).

The position includes a full range of practice, which would include admitting privileges and access to the health regions resources such as home care, in house pharmacy, laboratory services, radiology services, etc. The practice, operated by Regina QuAppelle Health Region, is situated in South East Integrated Care Center and offers well equipped exam rooms, full billing support, and reception. The on-call commitment will be shared with members of the practice group and other community physicians. Payment schedule will be under a Primary Health Care Contract.

To help assist in relocation, incentive packages are available from the Saskatchewan Medical Association, the Regina QuAppelle Health Region and the Ministry of Health.

Qualifications:

The candidate will hold certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC), and be eligible for a license to practice in Saskatchewan. Applicants will also hold ACLS certification. In accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
