Candidate will hold a minimum of the following tickets - First Aid "C" & CPR, H2S Alive and CSTS / PST. Optional Certifications are CSO Designations. This position will be 60% administering program and 40% of the time in the field. Candidate must be highly self motivated, organized, pass a drug, alcohol and fitness test and requires periodic lifting of up to 50 lbs. The successful candidate will be local, willing to travel and work overtime and carry a driver's license.
Responsibilities include:
Ensure Health and Safety Program is reviewed annually
Perform annual internal COR Audit
Ensure policies and procedures are up to date and audited annually
Client pre-qualifications
Organizing, maintaining and managing the licensing, insurances and fleet files
Ensure MSDSs are up to date
Training and orientation for all new employees / bi-annual testing for all employees
Complete formal site inspections
Ensure equipment certifications are up to date
Ensure basic PPE is available to all workers
Ensure & understand specialty safety equipment is certified and working properly
Conduct incident and near miss investigations
Conduct site inspections and audits
Reinforce company safety culture and expectations at all levels of company workers
Ensure JHAs, procedures and safety paperwork are understood by workers and provide training where necessary
Monitor program paperwork and work practices and procedures to ensure client requirements are being met
JSOs (Job Site Observations) on workers
WCB claims management and incident reporting
Ensure CanQual, Comply Works, ISNetworld, and COR are current
Track all budgetary expenses for HSEC department
Develop annual safety goals for submittal to operation managers
Issue highway / road permits for heavy and over dimensional equipment using AB & SK self-issuing permit system
