The Edwards School of Business at the University of Saskatchewan is seeking a faculty member in the Department of Accounting effective July 1, 2016.
The ideal candidate will have a background in Financial Accounting, Assurance, or Taxation. Candidates with research interests in other areas of accounting may also be considered. Candidates must hold or be very near completion of a Ph.D. in accounting. Candidates should be willing to function within and contribute to the department'ss collegial and collaborative environment. Consistent with our school'ss goal of achieving business school accreditation, candidates are expected to sustain their currency and relevance through academic scholarship and related activities. Possessing a professional accounting designation will be an asset. The successful candidate will be appointed at an Assistant/Associate/Full professor rank based on qualifications, research and teaching record.
The candidates short-listed to appear for an interview will be required to present their research and make a teaching presentation to department faculty and will be interviewed by the Search Committee. Determination of a candidate'ss suitability for the position will be based on the Committee'ss assessment of presentations made, the interview, and the results of reference checks.
