Description

Responsibilities |
BBID is excitedly experiencing governance, creative, and constructional changes this year.  Our Summer Business Intern will have the opportunity to contribute to the overall development of this vibrant business and entertainment district.  This individual will assist in the planning, marketing and delivery of major community-based events and projects, as well as internal structural development with board and committees.
Throughout the term, this individual will:
    Assist in the planning, promotion, execution and evaluation of summer events on Broadway, which may include ArtFest, Broadway Street Fair, Live@Lunch, and the creativity of new ideas;
    Design and create stakeholder communications, including promotional materials, social media posts, and website content;
    Work with and/or for board and committees to develop processes for content creation and management; and
    Perform general office administration duties, including reception and event registrations.

Requirements |
This individual must have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy working with multiple stakeholder groups on several different projects simultaneously. Superior written communication abilities, formidable organizational skills, and a working knowledge of MS Office are a must.
Must be a post-secondary student returning to a Canadian school in September, be between 15 and 30 years of age, and be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred.
Must be available to work weekends for events.
