Mixed farm seeking full time reliable person for farming and some cattle work.
Duties and Description:
3000 acre organic grain farm. We run newer, well maintained equipment so experience with GPS, combine, seeding and mechanical experience would be needed. All aspects of equipment and shop/welding experience, maintenance of equipment is required. We also run 3000 acres of hay and pasture land so background in fencing, haying and pasture land also an asset. Some cattle experience or background to identify health issues and calving would also be important to have.
We are seeking an interested long term person that can work well with us in return for fair wages and possibly other opportunities for the right applicant. We are a family run operation so it is important that you can work well with us. Although housing is not included we can help locate accommodations in the Swift Current area. (Farm aprox 15 mins from Swift Current)
Hours can be somewhat flexible but longer hours needed during peak seasons.
Looking for someone to start with us mid March or later but willing to be somewhat flexible for the right candidate.
