Description

As Operations Assistant, you will use your advanced data entry skills and well developed organizational skills to assist our production managers and our General Manager with details. You would be reporting to people that are very knowledgeable in the manufacturing of steel products and they will use your skills to perform the computer entry and paperwork aspects necessary to support the projects. You will learn the companys ERP software and enter sales orders, work routers, purchase orders and other data into it. Having experience working within ERP systems and being involved in implementation and/or training of others in it is an asset. You will be involved with the customers and the vendors.  They may ask you to run certain reports from the system, and create various documents for them.
This is a position for someone that understands business and can help to streamline processes, improve efficiencies and implement change. Previous exposure to the principles of LEAN is an asset. The person for this position is flexible, highly organized, very efficient, has well rounded computer and data entry skills, has been trained in business and more importantly is ready and willing to be helpful in any way that they can. There is opportunity for advancement for someone that is successful in this role.
Preferred qualifications are:
    Business Degree or Diploma preferred but comparable experience accepted
    Strong data entry and computer software skills required
    Strong proven organizational and communication skills with an outgoing personality
    Must be willing to work in an industrial office setting
