Description

The Saskatchewan Media Production Industry Association is seeking a highly motivated Executive Director to work closely with the Board of Directors to develop and grow the media production industry in Saskatchewan.
The Saskatchewan Media Production Industry Association (SMPIA) is a member-based, non-profit organization that acts as the voice of members of the media and screen-based production industry in the province. SMPIA develops and grows the industry through communication, education and advocacy.  It works in close collaboration with the government-funding agency for this industry, Creative Saskatchewan, to support industry growth and development.  Core operational funding to SMPIA is provided by Creative Saskatchewan.
The Executive Director will manage the staff and operations of the organization toward the achievement of the Vision, Mandate and Goals of the organization. The Executive Director will also be required to manage the organizational life cycle for strategic planning, budget and financial controls, and establishing positive relationships with industry and government stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have a related university degree and five years of experience in managing a public organization and Board of Director relationships at a senior management level.  A thorough knowledge of the governance and relationships of non-profit organizations and the media production industry would be very beneficial.  Demonstrated skills in managing complex relationships among diverse stakeholders are critical to the success of this candidate.
Compensation will be based upon the successful candidates knowledge, skills, and experience.  More information will be provided upon request.  The Saskatchewan Media Production Industry Association appreciates all applications received, but only those successful candidates who are granted an interview will be contacted.
