Job Purpose: Provide each guest with exceptional treatment/experience and high quality or service. Have the ability to assess client needs, recommend a treatment plan, educate clients on maintenance of their well-being. This needs to be accomplished with the utmost professionalism, consistent, efficient, and friendly manner. Needs to be an excellent communicator with guest and team members.
Job Duties:
Interview clients to determine the required massage method
Assess clients medical history, symptoms, and other relevant information before treatment
Effectively prepare the massage oil and other equipment
Apply proper pressure to the client to avoid injuries and bruising
Consult with other health practitioners to provide the clients with the best therapy
Perform services in a consistent manner
Maintain records of treatments
Sanitize materials between clients to ensure the health and safety of clients is protected
Set and achieve goals
Refer clients to other therapy, if necessary
On occasion may perform reception duties, e.g. answer phone, book appointments, ring up customers, etc.
General cleaning in down time
Attend and participate in company meetings and training
Skills/Qualifications: 2200 hours curriculum based massage therapy program by a recognized massage therapy institute, current CPR level C and Standard First Aid certification. Hold current RMT registration; must be in good standing with a recognized and accredited association. Extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology, ability to identify illness, injuries and disease and whether massage is appropriate for each situation, ability to accommodate individual clients needs.
