Position and Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the accounting administration role including day to day office functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and reception.
Key Responsibilities include:
Leading the accounting functions and maintaining accurate and up-to-date data, including employee payroll functions, CRA source deduction remittance returns, accounts receivable and accounts payable processing and month end activities.
Using various accounting software applications, entering daily receivables and sales, working with spreadsheets and data, ordering office supplies and answering main line reception.
Organizing, editing and preparing various documents using various software applications.
Maintaining a filing system for ease of access.
Other tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in accounting, bookkeeping or business administration
Relevant work experience is considered an asset
Proficient with Microsoft Office and effectively work with computer software, databases, and customized software packages
Strong organizational skills with the ability to problem solve and multi-task
High degree of accuracy working with numbers and ability to work within deadlines
Self-directed, highly motivated, reliable
Must be able to work independently and with a team
