Description

Our Client, The Travelodge Hotel & Conference Centre Regina is seeking a highly motivated General Manager to lead its everyday operations.  Reporting to the Owner, the successful candidate will be responsible to oversee and direct the management team, and oversee all areas of the hotels operations including finance and administration, rooms division, food and beverage, and banquets including:
Directly supervise a management team of 10 and oversee the management of 125 full-time and part-time employees
Accountable for the planning, organizing and directing all hotel services including front desk, food and beverage operations, conference facilities, housekeeping and maintenance
Develop and implement operational planning processes and budgets relating to hotel operations
Manage and control budget and expenditures, provide accurate and timely reporting of financial information to the Owner
Maintain guest satisfaction, front desk and property maintenance and appearance to hotel standards
Required Skills, Abilities, & Experience:
Strong business acumen, general computer literacy and strong customer service orientation
Proven people management skills, ability to effectively plan, direct and supervise the work of others
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
Positive attitude and ability to work independently, identify and solve problems, set priorities and develop long range plans
Knowledge of hotel operations including front desk, food and beverage, conference, maintenance, housekeeping and sales
Able to work non-standard hours including evenings and weekends
Ability to take initiative and work collaboratively with others in a team environment
Strong organization and project management skills with the ability to prioritize workload
Five to eight years of experience as a General Manager within a full service hotel environment
