Our client is the worldwide market leader for agricultural field research. Their business sells and services Agriculture research equipment, such as combines and seeders; however on smaller scale vs the large machines farmers use. We are seeking a professional Parts Technician for the Saskatoon office. In this position you are responsible for helping our Canadian customers primarily in Western Canada, such as providing customers parts, assistance in identifying the correct part, quotes and shipping and receiving.
In this role you would be the go to person for shipping and receiving and accountable for inventory control. This position must source parts as well as assist Technicians. It is key that you are mechanically inclined, as you will learn and do service work as well; this is not just a desk job. The position requires some travel, assisting our mechanics on service trips. These trips are commonly 1 week long, meal and hotel allowance is provided.
The ideal candidate will have strong computer, mechanical and excellent customer service skills. Basic knowledge of electronics, hydraulics would be an asset but not essential. The position includes a company cell phone. Training for this position will be at our company in Saskatoon, also by traveling with an experienced team member, to understand our equipment first hand. An agriculture background is desired but not mandatory.
