NorSask Forest Products is a 3 line stud lumber sawmill with operational capacity in excess of 100,000 Mfbm. We operate one of the largest sawmills in Saskatchewan. We produce high-quality SPF (spruce, pine, fir) stud lumber sold in Canada, the United States and overseas.
Responsibilities include:
Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical equipment and controls, electrical motors, generators, alternators, storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
Assist in the preparation of procedures and follow procedures in the course of their work.
Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications, and test electrical and electronic equipment and components.
Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.
Continuously evaluate and analyze electrical quality and safety processes and procedures.
Model and comply with all company policies and procedures.
At NorSask, our journeyperson electricians play a significant role in the training of indentured electricians for the future success of our company.
Qualifications:
A valid Saskatchewan or interprovincial journeyperson ticket as a journeyperson electrician
Preferably five years of industrial experience as a journeyperson electrician
Proven track record of promoting and practicing a safe work environment
Strong team player with good communication skills
Basic computer skills
Electrician experience in a sawmill environment is an asset
