Project Manager
Regina Public Schools
(two positions available)

Regina Public Schools requires a positive and innovative Project Manager to work in the Educational Facilities Department. Under the general direction of the Manager Space Planning and Capital Projects, the Project Manager will deliver projects using contracted resources and will work closely with the consulting community. The Project Manager will develop, present and negotiate construction estimates with customer groups; coordinate and schedule contractors on renovation and new construction projects; meet with client groups to ensure requirements are being met; ensure administrative requirements are in place prior to scheduling work; track and inspect ongoing projects to ensure deadlines are being met; track financial aspects of projects to ensure fiscal responsibility is achieved; ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety standards and all relevant legislation. Travel within the city is required.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of the theories, principles and practices related to project management and the construction trades; and knowledge of the occupational safety standards, National Building Codes and Saskatchewan and Municipal Codes and Regulations.

To qualify for this position you must have a Project Management Professional or Prince2 Practitioner designation and extensive experience in managing large scale projects, ideally in an educational environment. Being a Journeyperson in one of the construction trades or an Architectural Technologist would be an asset.
