The R.M. of Val Marie No. 17 is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Seasonal Grader Operator within is transportation services road crew.

Reporting to the Council, the operator is required to perform a wide range of activities related to the maintenance and repair of municipal  roads and infrastructure. using various types of heavy equipment, the grader operator is responsible for road repair and maintenance. Grader experience is required. The position will also involve the operation and maintenance of other equipment and vehicles inclulding: tractors, mowers, mulchers, and spraying equipment. All road crew employees are expected to maintain signage and participate in the maintenance of other municipal infrastructure as required.

The necessary experience and qualifications for this position include:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in construction, repair and maintenance of roads, preferably in a municipal setting
* Standard First Aid-OHS level & CPR C & AED
* Power Mobile Equipment Operator Certification
* WHMIS 2015 Certification
* Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certification
* Ground Disturbance Certification
* Valid Class 5 Driver's license
