Overview
The Saskatchewan Research Councils (SRC) Environment Division is seeking a Business Development Advisor to develop and execute sales, strategic marketing and business development plans for its Environmental Analytical Laboratories and the division.
Accountabilities
Leverage industry knowledge and professional networks to continuously develop new business and provide strategic insight for the laboratories and division
Establish and maintain effective relationships with current clients, as well as new clients
Identify and lead business development activities
Structure and market laboratory and division services
Analyze client sales patterns
Prepare presentations and proposals
Organize and attend tradeshows
Qualifications
Relevant experience working in the science and research industry, ideally in sales and marketing
Bachelors Degree in biology, environmental studies or business administration
MBA is preferred
Client-focused and strategic thinking
Skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to develop and grow business for the team
Excellent networking and relationship-building skills
The chosen candidate will be required to provide an original Criminal Record Check that is satisfactory to SRC prior to the commencement of any employment duties. The Criminal Record Check must have been executed within the preceding 30 days of receipt.
