Skills Required: Completion of High School- Grade 12
1-2 years of work experience as a Caregiver for children or 6 months of an in-class caregiver training course
Wage: $11.50 per hour
Number of Hours: 30-44 hours per week plus overtime when necessary, two days off per week.
Hours will vary but mostly Monday - Friday, some weekends & evenings required and flexibility of hours -
Any work in excess of 44 hour per week will be paid at the overtime rate (1.5x the regular rate)-Work Location Information - Work in employer's/client's home

Specific Skills
- Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
- Take children to and from school and to appointments
- Supervise and care for children
- Sterilize bottles, prepare formulas and change diapers for infants
- Read to children
- Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Organize, activities such as games and outings for children
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
- Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
- Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
- Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
- Prepare infants and children for rest periods
