The Businesss Agronomist Position
The Business Agronomist position is Blairs window to the customer. In this position you will be part of the Blairs sales team, working to create solutions and opportunities for customers to help their business be more profitable and efficient. You will work with customers at the Blairs retail location supplemented by customer farm calls as required. You will have the ability to work with the Blairs team of Professional Agronomists to enhance your agronomic skills specifically as it relates to assisting with professional agronomy customers, research trials such as GROW Total Acre, and other related projects as directed by the Location Manager.
Skills Required
Knowledge of selling skills, time management, ability to understand the needs and challenges of primary agriculture, excellent oral communication skills, the ability to take direction and coaching from sales or agronomy team mentors, the ability to communicate clearly through writing, emails, etc., the ability to use Microsoft office applications, most importantly the ability to identify opportunities and challenges and work with the Blairs customer to develop an effective solution.
Position Requirements
The Business Agronomist position will be based out of a Blairs retail location and will work with the sales team and the professional agronomy team in Blairs. An agronomy degree or equivalent designation is preferred. You will report to the Location Manager.
